How to apply groove settings to multiple clips in Ableton Live
Here’s a tip that was a huge time saver for me once this trick was pointed out to me. I have Dennis Desantis from Ableton to thank for this one.
So lets say you have a groove in your groove pool that you want to apply to all 30 or 40 of your clips in the session window. For me, this meant dragging the groove to each clip, 1 at a time. Not very time efficient. Anyone else with me on this?
I knew there had to be a way to accomplish this faster & more efficiently, and luckily… there is!
Below is a quick video that will save you loads of time if you like to add more groove to your…well, grooves.
Happy music making,
Jason

I’ve done the same kind of thing in arrangement view.
I’d just select one midi or audio clip on any track. Then I’d hit CTRL-A to select everything. I could then select a groove from the pool and it would be applied to all clips. (both audio & midi)
Nice tip Jason 😉 thanks a lot
Nice….. Ta very much!
