How to add effects to individual sounds in Ableton’s Impulse
Are you loving the simplicity of using your Impulse instrument for drum programming but wanting more control over individual sounds within Impulse?
Want to re-EQ the snare and add compression to the kick seperately?
Here is how:
1. Drag impulse to a midi track & assign your drum sounds
2. Create a new audio track for each sound you want seperated
3. In the audio tracks ‘in/out’ routing where it says ‘audio from’ choose the impulse track
4. A new window opens allowing you to choose the individual sounds in Impulse
Now you can add as many fx as you want to individual sounds within Impulse giving you full control over each sound.
Happy music making!
Jason

Thank you so much for this tip! Question! Is the only way to get the sounds to come thru is the to multi-arm the tracks?
