Ableton 9: Convolution ReverbĀ
Keeping on with my Ableton 9 experiments, I decided to dive into the Convolution Reverb this time around. I’m pretty amazing by how many options you have to design your sound as well as how good this thing sounds!
For those who might not be familiar with this type of reverb, it’s not really a specific type of reverb, but instead can be any type of reverb space that is sampled. It can be from a concert hall, cathedral, a bathroom or the inside of a metal pipe. It can also be from a virtual space.
Although it’s reacting to the input sound, Convolution reverb isn’t effected in the same way as other reverbs. Instead, the original signal is interwoven with the sampled reverb to create a very unique effect.
I think Ableton did a great job in offering a crapload of great presets with tons of tweakability. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.
Check out the video below & enjoy!
Happy music making,
Jason
